I have decided to make it a point to stop for a rest at Chiriaco Summit every time I make the trip to Claremont and back for classes. This morning, I stopped on the way home. I had a nice sleep. Then, I walked to the little Mary Shrine. Today was a perfect day for outdoor prayers. The birds sang their melodic praises while I stood reverently at the shrine. The candles inside the space burned brightly with the prayers of others. I felt privileged to add my prayers to theirs.
Before getting back on the freeway, I thought I'd have a bite to eat and a hot cup of tea. Not only was the breakfast delicious, but it was "served with a smile."
And that's just the way it should be.
